Today, we’re taking an updated look at the gaming performance of AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D, comparing it with Intel’s best offering, the Core i9-13900K. While the absolute best would be the 13900KS, we’re going to assume you’re not keen on wasting money on superfluous products, so we’ll stick with the much more sensible 13900K. Not too long ago, we examined the gaming performance of the Core i7-13700K and compared it to the 7800X3D. The Ryzen 7 processor was faster overall, offering 11% more performance on average at 1080p. Then, once factoring in the price of the DDR5-7200 memory required to…

In 2016, just weeks before the Autopilot in his Tesla drove Joshua Brown to his death, I pleaded with the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation to regulate the use of artificial intelligence in vehicles. Neither my pleading nor Brown’s death could stir the government to action. Since then, automotive AI in the United States has been linked to at least 25 confirmed deaths and to hundreds of injuries and instances of property damage. The lack of technical comprehension across industry and government is appalling. People do not understand that the AI that runs vehicles—both the cars that…

As healthcare becomes more entrenched in the digital revolution, the need for an approved set of protocols for care delivery — clinical pathways — is becoming increasingly critical. Clinical pathways, as defined by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, are the “standardization of care that translates guidelines and/or evidence into localized infrastructure and processes.” These processes have significant financial implications, as they can decrease payer (insurance) denials, allow providers to enroll in performance-based reimbursement, or help resource-constrained provider systems better allocate financial resources. A 12mm full-frame equivalent lens isn’t my idea of a versatile do-everything piece of kit, but Fujifilm really needs something like this to supplement the very expensive — and heavy — XR 8-16mm f/2.8 zoom. That is a great lens, but it’s beyond many people’s needs and budgets. Enter the Fujifilm 8mm f/3.5 prime. Fujifilm XF 8mm f/3.5: How it Handles in the Field This is an adorable lens, to say the least. The $799 rectilinear optic only weighs 7.5 ounces (215 grams) and uses very easy-to-find 62mm filters. I like the manual focus ring; it has a well-dampened feel.…
