The Season 3 launch includes some pretty big changes to the game. It comes with the Golmud Railway map, alongside the new REDSEC ranked mode. The dev team announced there are ranked rewards, alongside some golden camo gun rewards, too. The ranked section will have leaderboards, alongside tracking your own stats, too, if you choose to participate. Lower elo ranks like bronze and silver will also get XP token rewards to spend on however you want, to help power through those probably meta-defining weapons come the ranked launch.
If you’re interested in multiplayer, there are a few new changes, such as the new weapons for the M16, L115 sniper, new RPK LMG and an SMG too. Cairo Bazaar will come later on in the season, but Golmud is looking to change a lot.
There’s some good feedback improvement to the game’s netcode, which has been an ever-so-slightly improving problem for EA and co. It should feel better in the new season, presumably, if all goes to plan. But there’s still work to be done on it. The pass comes with tuning updates to vehicle handling and more weapon feel and usability as devs try to make recoil and weapon profiles much better, too. These are parts of the outlined 2026 roadmap for BF6, with the devs promising that a lot of user complaints will start going away gradually throughout the year.
There’s also the usual features like the new Battle Pass, which for some reason you can pre-order.
