The German state of North Rhine-Westphalia is offering U.S. startups, including from Georgia, the chance to apply for a 10,000-euro grant that can help ease their entry into the European market.
Daniel Dueren, the Georgia-based representative of economic development agency NRW.Global Business, will lay out the benefits of the Startup Welcome Package during an Aug. 25 forum at the law offices of Burr + Forman in Atlanta.
The German state, which boasts 18 million people and a GDP larger than many European countries, along with 110,000 college graduates per year, is seeking less than 10-year-old companies below $50M in revenue with fewer than 250 employees. The grant can be used on rent (three months minimum), consulting services, tax advice, mentoring, coaching and more.
