The Big Story
Atlanta has a new cleantech accelerator in town. Backed by gener8tor and Cox Enterprises, the Cox Cleantech Accelerator. The bi-annual 12-week program will support five of the most promising cleantech startups in each cohort. Startups will receive a $100,000 investment, tailored coaching, mentorship from Cox business leaders. They will also receive support in product development, customer acquisition, and fundraising. Southeast Funding News
* Mudstack, an asset management platform that started in Metro Atlanta, raised a $4 million funding round from Anthos Capital, with participation from Khosla Ventures, A16Z GAMES, Pioneer Square Labs, and Hyperplane. More details on the fundraise here.
* Raleigh-based software startup Allstacks announced a $10M Series A funding round. The round was led by London-HQ’d Quadri Ventures in partnership with M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund and California-based First Rays Venture Partners. Details on the round here.
* Florida-based startup Admiral, an ad block recovery tools, announced the close of a $19 million growth equity and debt funding round on Wednesday. Details on the round here.

* Get Spiffy, Inc., the North Carolina-based mobile maintenance and detailing company, announced that Scot Wingo, CEO and Co-founder, has stepped down. Karl Murphy, President and Co-founder, will succeed him as CEO. Scot Wingo will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing strategic guidance. * Georgia Tech’s Scale Up Lab is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), a $50 million
clean technology program funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation and co-administered by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). This collaboration is set to catalyze cleantech innovation across the Southeastern United States by providing critical commercialization support and access to cutting-edge programs, including the Shell GameChanger Accelerator™ Powered by NREL (GCxN) and Chevron Studio.
* Tech Alpharetta, the nonprofit organization helping the City of Alpharetta to lead in tech innovation, today announced that it is relocating its tech startup incubator to new space this fall at 925 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta.
* Skiptown, the Charlotte-based upscale off-leash dog park, social club, restaurant, and pet care facility, is coming to Atlanta’s Kirkwood neighborhood.
* Atlanta-based Ware2Go welcomed Srikanth Mallya as the company’s new President. Srikanth has been part of the UPS family for over 25 years, working across diverse business units including business development, operations, and product management.
