* The Southeast has a new unicorn. Durham-based Teamworks, an operating system for athletic programs, announced it secured $235 million in an oversubscribed Series F financing. The round, led by returning investor Dragoneer Investment Group, puts the company at an evaluation that exceeds $1 billion, according to the company press release.
* Chattanooga’s Clockout, an earned wage access startup, announced it closed a $2 million seed funding round. The round was led by North Carolina-based Cofounders Capital, with participation from Brickyard VC, Front Porch Capital, Market Square Ventures, Launch TN, OneSixOne Ventures, and Erez Capital.
* Tampa-based investing app startups Grifin raised a $11 million Series A, according to Crunchbase. Investors in the round include Nava Ventures, TTV Capital, Nevcaut Ventures, Gaingels, Draper Associates, and Alloy Labs.
* Miami-based FinTech startup Payabli raised a $28 million Series B round, according to Axios.
* South Carolina’s Glytec, an insulin management software company that helps healthcare providers improve both the quality and the cost of care, raised a $36 million venture round, according to Crunchbase.
* North Carolina’s Jurassic Capital was the lead investor in a new $14 million Series B round in New York-based Supply Wisdom, according to Crunchbase.
