The Epomaker Galaxy70 aims high with its aluminum build, popular 75% layout, tuned typing experience, and impressive wireless options, yet still manages to slip under the $100 price point. On paper, it looks too good to be true, but how has this keyboard fared during my testing? This is my review.
Premium without the price tag
With its 75% layout, the Galaxy70 keeps the essential keys and ditches the rest, allowing more room for mouse movement. Dedicated arrow keys and the F-row remain, so there’s still plenty of functionality available. Users don’t have to worry about remembering awkward key combinations to move the arrows or anything like that.
Out of the box, the weight was the first thing that grabbed my attention. The Galaxy70 feels like high quality with its heft and impressive powder-coated finish. The case is made of aluminium and feels like it will survive even the toughest punishment.
It’s the little things
The keen-eyed will have spotted the knob in the top-right, which is always nice to see for easy volume control.
Connect the Galaxy70 – it supports wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz – and the RGB lighting comes to life. The PCB has south-facing RGB for those wondering about compatibility.
Everything seems okay so far, but what about the typing experience? In a word, for less than $100, I have to call it “unbelievable.”
Unbelievable typing experience

The gasket structure and five layers of sound-improving material combine with the Epomaker Zebra switches and PBT keycaps to deliver an incredible “thock” while typing. Honestly, Epomaker has mastered delivering a premium sound in a budget keyboard, and I’m happy that those on tighter budgets can finally have a satisfying typing experience.
Those concerned about the plate-mounted stabilizers which can sometimes lead to a rattling noise needn’t worry. Epomaker has fine-tuned the stabs and they sound brilliant. Everything is pre-lubed and, for my unit at least, I can’t complain at all.
Potential drawbacks

I’ve found it tough to find downsides for this product. As is typical for heavier keyboards like this, the Galaxy70 is limited when it comes to portability. Chuck this in a backpack to take with you on the go and you’ll certainly feel it.
Then there’s the software, which can be a little wonky. However, it’s nothing too offensive and users don’t have to interact with it too often following the initial setup.

Final Verdict
At $99.99, the Epomaker Galaxy70 offers impressive build quality, a satisfying typing experience, and solid connectivity. The gasket-mounted design and tuned stabilizers enhance the feel, while the RGB and wireless options add convenience. It delivers exceptional value for its price and is well worth considering for those looking for a keyboard upgrade.
