The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 are now official, and most of the big names in the Android sphere have already confirmed their next-gen devices with the new chips.
Xiaomi is first in line with its 18 series. The 18 Pro will arrive with the standard 8 Elite Gen 6, while the 18 Pro Max will feature the Extreme version of the chip. Both phones will be introduced later today in China.
Honor will feature the top-notch 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in its Magic9 Pro Max, which is launching on September 28.
The iQOO 16 and Pad Ultra are also set to use the Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and are set to launch on September 29. That won’t be the only device from the vivo brand, as the company confirmed future vivo phones will also bring the flagship chip.
RedMagic 12Pro+ is also in on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme bandwagon and is set to launch in October.
The OnePlus 16 is also confirmed to feature the Elite version of the new chip. Motorola’s Signature 27 (due to launch later this year) will also opt for the Extreme variant chip.
