For something called “Fan Edition”, the FE series has trouble actually connecting to fans. Last year’s model was criticized for its price, now the 2025 model is here and it’s a very similar story – people think they can get better hardware for their money elsewhere.
In short, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is not a great buy – not right now, anyway. Reading through the comments on last week’s poll, we noticed a pattern – a lot of people would rather get a Galaxy S24+. Right now it costs less despite being a better phone.
The S24+ has the same Exynos 2400 chipset (unless you live in a Snapdragon region) and has 4GB more RAM. It has a higher resolution (1440p+ vs. 1080p+) 6.7” display, an LTPO panel at that. The rest is close enough that it makes little difference.
We’ve seen some great deals on the older Galaxy S24 FE this year – and in time we are sure that we will see similarly great deals on the S25 FE. Until then, the S24 FE or S24+ will overshadow the S25 FE. And that’s just if you are looking at Samsung phones. Depending on where you live, you can get some near-flagship level hardware for $650/€750/£650.
There’s another issue – with the FE models coming in so late, they launch just a few months before the new Galaxy S generation arrives. Then there will be hot new hardware for those with money to spare or cheaper older S-models (similar to the S24+ situation right now).

Still, some owners of older Galaxy S FE phones are seeing enough upgrades on the S25 FE to make them switch. Whether they do that immediately or whether they wait for the price to drop is another matter – we’ve already seen some reports on great deals from stores, but that seems pretty rare right now.
