Funding News
SoloPulse, an Atlanta-based Deep Tech startup that has strong roots in Georgia Tech, landed a $7.7 million seed funding round from investors across the US.
Atlanta Ventures backs Habits, by leading the fintech startup’s $1.1 million oversubscribed pre-seed round. The startup wants to make it easier for young professionals to get access to the right financial advisors to help them grow their financial wealth.
KB Partners has led a $2.25M seed funding round for collegiate sports memorabilia subscription platform Atlanta-based NIL FanBox. Founded in 2021, NIL FanBox partners with university athletic departments to offer their fans annual boxes of autographed collectibles from both current athletes and past stars including the likes of Vince Young, Tyler Hansbrough, Antawn Jamison and Braxton Miller, among others. Terry Comer, the company’s co-founder and CEO, said the funding round values NIL FanBox at around $7M, according to Sports Business Journal.

Nashville-based MusicTech startup Soundstripe has announced that Atlanta entrepreneur and tech executive Jeff Perkins is stepping up as the company’s CEO. Details up on Hypepotamus now.

Burunda Prince has been named the new Director of the PNC Southeastern Regional Center for Entrepreneurship at Clark Atlanta University. Details and full announcement can be found here.
Frankin, Tennessee-base ObjectiveHealth, a Nashville-based integrated research and technology platform company, announced today that veteran clinical research executive Steve Clemons has joined the company as CEO. Clemons is a veteran clinical research executive who most recently led Rymedi in Greenville, South Carolina.

Embarc Collective and Bank of America have joined forces to expand technical programming and support local technical meetup groups—key resources for knowledge-sharing and networking in our community. “Our goal is to strengthen the support for Tampa Bay’s tech talent by providing more tools and connections to accelerate their growth,” said Evan Erickson, Director of Partnerships and Events, Embarc Collective, in a press statement. Leavitt Equity Partners—a healthcare-focused private equity fund founded by former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Mike Leavitt—announced its partnership with Arkansas-based Pediatrics Plus. In collaboration with Leavitt Equity Partners, Atlanta-based Fulcrum Equity Partners, Western Governors University also joined the investor group to support Pediatrics Plus’s continued growth and mission.
